Purported HTC One (M9) specs leak out: 5.5 inch QHD display with 3 GB of RAM likely

M9

One of the highest rated Android-powered smartphones to-date, the HTC One (M8), may soon have its successor. Reports of the HTC One (M9) are swirling around and we have the latest to give you an update.

A Chinese site called MyDrivers has obtained reported specs of the upcoming HTC flagship, the M9. They report that the device will sport a 5.5 inch QHD display (1440 x 2560), 3 GB of RAM, a 2.7 GHz Snapdragon 805 processor, a 16 megapixel camera with OIS, and 64/128 GB variants with expandable storage via a microSD card slot.

A few interesting things to note about these leaks is that HTC will go with a 16 megapixel camera instead of their ultrapixel cameras that have been seen on previous iterations of the device. It seems HTC is finally stepping away from that.

The device will feature Bose audio as well to combat the loss of Beats by Dre. Beats was recently bought by Apple so it is expected that HTC would find a new partner.

What do you think of these specs; is this the next device you'll wait out for? Let us know!

Getting a Nexus 6 from T-Mobile won't be easy...

Trying to get a Nexus 6? Great we are too... Although it hasn’t been officially released, pre-orders started on October 29th through the Google Play Store and have since sold out twice. Not only did the Google Play Store run out of inventory, the Motorola online store sold out as well.
There has been hope through T-Mobile that they would have the device in stock on launch. An earlier leaked document suggested that the T-Mobile would launch the Nexus 6 on November 12th. This has since been confirmed through calls we made to T-Mobile.
Unfortunately, it seems tha ta Wednesday launch is imminent, not all stores will get the device. The document (which can be seen below) came courtesy of the XDA forums. It shows that over 1800 stores nationwide will get a demo unit of the Nexus 6, whereas only 300 stores will actually have stock to sell.
It is unknown if this document is legitimate, but we will definitely find out soon. For our sake, we hope it isn't.
Be sure to check out AndroidGuys.com as well!

Gmail 5.0 APK is leaked! Download link in article!

We are just over 48 hours away from one of the most-anticipated days of the year. On November 3, Google will release Android 5.0 Lollipop to all Nexus 4, 5, 7, and 10 users. Android 5.0 is considered the biggest overhaul to the Android OS to date, coming with new designs, funtionality, ART runtime, and complete Google app redesigns. One of Google's most popular apps that is getting an overhaul is Gmail.

Gmail is the default email service for many Android and iOS users, having over 425 million active users daily. Many saw the updated Gmail in screenshots and videos of Android 5.0 Lollipop on the all new Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 devices, but it wasn't available to the public, until now.

A Reddit user, named redthunda69 has posted that the Gmail 5.0 APK file has leaked, and is available for download. We can verify that it works and we did not need to uninstall the current version of Gmail, it overwrites it just as a typical app update would.

You can find the file here. Let us know what you think of the Gmail 5.0 overhaul!

HTC Sense 7 spotted with a hint of Android Lollipop influence

Android Lollipop has been around ever since back in June, but Google officially unveiled on October 15th. Since, OEM manufacturers have been pressured to as when they release their iterations of the biggest Android OS overhaul in history. We've already seen TouchWiz running on Android Lollipop, which looked very TouchWiz like with little hints of material design, but now we have Sense 7 doing the same.

The screenshots, which are from the popular HTC One (M8), show a preview as to what HTC has in-store for Sense 7. It can be seen showing off the design-aspect of the navigation bar and notification panel matching the current app the user is in. Although HTC adopted the color-concept, they have not adopted the Lollipop icons. HTC still uses their softkey buttons, Wi-Fi, service, and battery icons.

Hopefully OEM's will push out their updates as soon as possible, sooner than the 90 day period they seem to be quoting. The good news is, the more system updates like this leak, the more likely the release is sooner rather than later.

It hasn't even been a full day since the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 were announced, and there is already a hands-on video that has been uploaded online. The video below is from a company called CellphoneS based out of Vietnam. There is no word how they were able to get the extremely thin 7.9 mm Nexus 9 on camera, but we don't care and neither should you! This thing is awesome.

The Nexus 9 powered by the NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor will be up for pre-order tomorrow October 17th and be released on November 3rd. Let us know your thoughts on the newest Nexus tablet!

evleaks does it again: Leaks upcoming Nexus 6

Nexus 6 leaked in future Google Ad

The latest surrounding Android L and the Google/Motorola Nexus 6 is that they will be unveiled in their entirety tomorrow (October 15, 2014). A new ad shows off the what could be the new Nexus device, even though the spot is just a cartoon.

As you can see in the video below, a massive device gets pulled out of one of the smaller character's pockets, that seems to look seemingly familiar to the Nexus 6 or Shamu leaks we've seen in the past. The sheer size of the device in the video definitely points towards the Nexus coming with a massive 5.9 inch display. The device also has the minimalistic Android L navigation buttons, which is referring to Android L.

The device is expected to ship with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 805 processor, 3 GB of RAM, and a QHD display (1440 x 2560). While the device is expected to be debuted tomorrow, it could see a release as early as November 3, 2014 which has been previously reported.

Nexus 9, Android L to be debuted October 15th, Launch November 3rd

Google Nexus 9 Type Cover
It is now rumored that the new HTC Nexus 9, will be debuted on October 15th. Alongside the Nexus 9, we are expected to get the official reveal of Android L, which would include the unveiling of the name. Most assume it will be Lollipop, however Lemon Meringue Pie and Lion have also been rumored.

The Nexus 9 will boast the best specs of a Nexus device to date. It is expected to ship with the NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor that has 64-bit architecture, a massive 4 GB of RAM, a 9 inch QHD (1440 x 2560) display, and of course, Android L.

The expected price of the new Nexus tablet will be much higher than the $200 for the Nexus 7. With bigger specs comes bigger costs, so look for the Nexus 9 to run around $400. The device is also expected to be launched on November 3rd.

We will continue to keep you updated on all things Google, so stay vigilant!

Samsung is next inline to feature a 'Selfie' smartphone: Galaxy Grand Prime leaked

It seems as if every smartphone manufacturer is taking a shot at the 'selfie' market. Some of those include Sony with the Xperia C3 and Nokia with the Lumia 730. Both of which feature a front-facing 5 megapixel shooter.

A new leak shows that Samsung is now entering the 'selfie' smartphone ring, with the Galaxy Grand Prime. The Grand Prime won't have specs to write home about, but it will be more than sufficient enough to get your selfie taken. Working iPhone 6 shows new home screen layout

As of late, most of the leaks regarding the iPhone 6 have come from Chinese sources. This is due to the fact that the manufacturing plant for Apple is in China. Along with that, the Chinese workers are not compensated well, therefore a leak can be their chance at five-minutes of fame. These new images come from a Chinese site where a user posted the photos.

working_iphone_6_5s_home

First off. most notably is the difference in the home screen. As you can see, there is now room for 6 rows of Apps on the home screen compared to 5 on the iPhone 5s. The device also has the correct camera and sensor layout that has not been seen on previous high-profile leaks.

working_iphone_6_5s_back

On the back of the device, we can see it has the dual-LED flash, which is universally agreed upon that Apple will stick with that. The buttons also come with the same slim profile as its predecessors.

working_iphone_6_app_store_about

On this image we can see that the user is on the official Apple App Store and in the settings app, which has been missing from the clones due to the fact that they are running Android heavily layered with an iOS skin. In the 'about' section of the settings, iOS 8 is visible along with the 64 GB of storage.

Either this leak is a very good fabrication of PhotoShop or we may have our first actually glimpse of the iPhone 6 ahead of its September 9th debut. This device is sporting everything the other clone devices have missed, so it is promising. If any other images get released, we'll have you covered.

If you would like to see the video where the user unlocks the device with the TouchID sensor, you can see it here.

Sony Xperia Z3: Detailed image leaks

The Xperia Z3 has been spotted around the internet today ahead of its September 3rd debut. These new images show a detailed look of the Z3  from top to bottom. It seems as if the Xperia Z3 will come in two colors, white and black. Overall it retains the same look and feel of its predecessors.

The Z3 also will not feature any major spec improvements except maybe a newer Snapdragon 801 processor or possibly even the newer 805 processor. It is expected to come with Android 4.4.3, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage with the ability to expand it up to 64GB, a 20.7 megapixel camera, and retain its IP58 rating.

The newest leaked images can be seen below.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 2: New specs leak

Samsung has been one of the strong supporters of enlarged screens, making 5 inches a standard on today's smartphones. Samsung has released the 'S' series with an average of a 5 inch screen, and the Note series averaging around a 5.7 inch display. Samsung has also made a point to increase the screen size on their near tablet Galaxy Mega series.

The first set of Galaxy Mega's came in a 5.8 and 6.3 inch variants. Their successor is now coming with a 6 inch display. The latest details surrounding this monster phone have leaked, and it includes a 720p display, 2800 mAh battery (same size as the S5), and 1.5GB of RAM. This is definitely not a performance based device, but its selling point is the screen size. The specs can be seen below in this image.

Nexus 6 (Shamu) specs leak

The latest on the Nexus 6 (Shamu) is that details on the specifications have leaked. The Nexus 6 is going to be more than just a budget device this time around.

The Nexus 5 came in $350 for mid-range specs, but was hugely successful. The Nexus isn't going to skimp on specs this time around. It is coming packed full with hardware boasting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 CPU and 3GB. Topping the list of expected features will definitely be its new OS, Android L.

The question most people are wondering is, will it be the same price range as its predecessor? With highly improved specs and sporting a QHD display, one would assume the Nexus would take part in a price hike. However, we saw it on the OnePlus One, a great phone with great specs can come at a bargain price. With these specs we'd assume the Nexus 6 will start at $400 for the 16GB model and $450 for its 64GB counterpart. This is still extremely below average, but should cover the expenses of the new hardware.

Google has always debuted their newest build numbers with the Nexus devices, and this will be no different. The Nexus 6 will ship with Android 5.0. Look for an October debut of Shamu and maybe even a late October release.

The expected specs can be seen below.

Newest look at iPhone 6: 27 days remaining

The sooner we get to the release date of one of the most-anticipated devices of the year, the more leaks we will get. That has been the case today. We are now twenty-seven days from the expected debut of the iPhone 6, and phone modifier Feld & Volk are at it again.

Earlier this month, we got a look into what the iPhone 6's rear panel will look like. Feld & Volk has released images of the iPhone 5 before its release back in 2012, so we can affirm that this is legitimate. This time, we get our best look yet at the design of the front panel that will ship with the iPhone 6.

In these images you can see that Apple has made some changes from what we are used to. The front panel isn't the typical squared edge that we have seen on all previous iPhone models. This panel has a very subtle curve to it, which gives it an appearance of a thinner or non-existent bezel. In the age where everyone wants a bigger screen and less bezel, Apple has definitely nailed this one.

This is our closest look at what is to come as far as physical buttons on the iPhone. We already know what to expect for the home-button, due to the existence of the iPhone 5s, but the side buttons have received a makeover. Apple is stepping away from their circular standard, and moving to the recessed oval design that is found on most smartphones. We don't know if this is the lock button, volume rockers, or both, but it looks sharp.

Be sure to follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook for everything iPhone 6. With the debut date fast approaching, we will have it all covered, from announcements, leaks, and news.

Galaxy Note 4 images finally leak

While yesterday we were saying that there hasn't been very many leaks regarding the upcoming phablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, we may have spoke too soon. Earlier this morning, an anonymous person sent in images of the purported Galaxy Note 4 to GSMArena. This has been our best look at one of Samsung's most anticipated device.

In the pictures seen below, it seems that Samsung is keeping the faux-leather texture, although it does seem a little more grainy. The back cover is removable as always with any Galaxy device. They have also gone and shifted the heart rate monitor and flash to the left side of the main camera. To go along with the pictures of the device, there is also the expected retail packaging, which may give this leak more credibility.

One of the biggest things that these leaked photos show is that the Galaxy Note 4 seems to have a metal frame. Users have been wanting Samsung to go with a premium design for years, and now they might just have it. To go along with the metal frame, it seems to have more squared off corners, a microUSB 3.0 port, and it retains the popular S-Pen.

The Note 4 is going to be the first Note device to feature a 5.7 QHD (2560 x 1440) display, a brand new Snapdragon 805 processor, and a 16 megapixel camera with OIS (optical image stabilization).

The Galaxy Note 4 is expected to be debuted on September 3rd and it could be in your hands as soon as September 15th.
